World’s AIDS Day in Kisumu County highlighted the plight of adolescents and provided essential HIV prevention and treatment services. FACES crisscrossed the region and mobilized communities in advance of the day. A procession of 47 boda boda (motorcycle drivers) marked the opening of the event. Adolescent living with HIV shared their personal stories in speeches and dramas, including a impactful story shared with the First Lady of Kisumu County, Dorothy Nyong’o, who was in attendance. A clinical team was on hand for clinical services, in fact 161 were tested for HIV in the course of the day. We applaud our community, adolescents, and staff for being heros in the fight to end HIV.
