On this World Malaria Day 2019, a reminder to all of us that malaria continues to be an urgent public health problem. In 2017, there were 219 million malaria cases and 435,000 malaria deaths globally, with over 90% in the Africa region. Children under 5 are the most vulnerable, they account for 61% of malaria deaths globally. Let’s help get the malaria global response back on track.
