A donation to our FACES Patient Care Fund makes it possible to support children, women, and men living with HIV in Kenya who are facing life-threatening health complications. Recently an orphaned adolescent girl, under the care of her aunt, was adhering well to HIV treatment yet was experiencing a severe cough, difficulty breathing, and heart symptoms. Her condition was rapidly worsening and extensive tests and specialty consultation were needed, all of which were beyond what her aunt could provide as a casual laborer. Through the FACES Patient Care Fund, she was admitted to the referral hospital for testing and treatment, and is making a full recovery. In the words of her aunt "I am grateful for the assistance and support given to us. You saved this girl's life..."
