Peer educators provide patients the support they need to stay healthy

peer educatorsProviding patients with the psychosocial support they need to stay healthy and in care is a FACES priority. This week, we're training and deploying 88 peer educators to bolster patient support.

It is critical that these staff understand the issues associated with HIV firsthand. We recruit HIV-positive individuals recommended by health facilities, ensuring they are enrolled in care and thriving. We also ensure they have completed Form four education and have strong interpersonal skills to support patients effectively.
