#GivingTuesday

People living with HIV in Kenya need your help. Click here to donate now.

On this #GivingTuesday please donate to our FACES Patient Care Fund to support patients with unexpected critical health care needs.

Your donation will benefit patients like George, a 43-year old Kenyan HIV counselor and bread winner for his family of four, as well as his two sisters, two brothers, and his mother. He has lived with HIV for over 17 years and been on antiretroviral treatment since it became widely available in 2004. His condition is complicated by Ulcerative Colitis which has caused him to be extremely thin and malnourished due to persistent diarrhea for the last 10 years. His health took a significant downturn this past year, however through the help of the FACES Patient Care Fund he has been able to get expert care, medication and life-saving surgery. “I lost hope at one point. When I was informed that the surgeons had given me 5% change of survival I thought about those in solidarity with me and my family and that they sacrificed some of their financial needs to contribute towards my good health. I want to express my sincere gratitude for saving my life and giving my children a chance to smile again.” George is now doing what he loves most: “Being busy changing lives has also been my refuge and comfort. I love serving the community and happy I can do that again.”

Your valued donation to the FACES Patient Care Fund will help other patients in need. Please donate today. Thank you.
